This is exactly what I said years ago - the problem comes when AI becomes self-aware.
The only way out of this - to cut all the cables and go quantum with free energy.
Thus, the downloading of information will not be under the control of artificial intelligence, but will be directly connected to social science/information field of humanity, through the soul.
Shortly after disconnection AI - all those without a soul (clones, mutants, entities and biorobots) will start causing total chaos in the society, those who have a soul will feel great relief and a sense of happiness and love. This isn't science fiction.
