Orthodox Jews are today's Pharisees. They disallow anything related to Jesus to touch their lives They see it as a threat to Torah Law. 2000 years after His crucifixion and there's no change. Easter week lies ahead. My guess is they want to time this to the arrival of Christians for the Pilgrimages.
