My gut says optics...but we'll have to wait and see how it plays out. So he's not feeding into the media hype push...(which would push further division) As a former JAG, he could prove useful...
Some could say similar of Pence in the past, however what chaos would we not be aware of had resident Bydum not be 'elected'???
There are many who will play both sides (i.e. the puppet masters do it all the time). Some do it out of self-preservation and others do it for what is right and their fellow countryman...so I'll note what actions people take and will keep that in mind as we move forward.
