For many of us it seems like it's taking forever. Part of that is because it really is taking longer than we'd hoped. But an even bigger part is because so many of us spend every waking moment thinking and reading about this stuff. We should remember the old expression:

A watched pot never boils.

It's fine if we want to keep watching the pot, but we should remember it's only going to make the wait seem about three times longer.
