๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช President Kennedy visited Ireland in June, 1963
& referred to it as โ€œthe best four days of his life.โ€

He recited this poem in his last speech of the visit:

โ€œ'Tis the Shannon's brightly glancing stream,
brightly gleaming,
silent in the morning beam.โ€

#703
โ€œRest in peace Mr. President (JFK),
through your wisdom and strength,
since your tragic death,
Patriots have planned, installed,
and by the grace of God, activated,
the beam of LIGHT.โ€ ๐Ÿ’ซ

Not sure how my Irish lineage got here but they did. I think they did thru a port in Texas, somewhere. Then made their way to Ga and name a place New Hope. For a New HOPE at life. FREEDOM>

โ˜˜๏ธ Everyone's Irish on St. Paddy's day, Steph!
Top of the mornin' to ya.

๐Ÿ•Š "May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

๐Ÿ€ Irish blessing
