Also seeing the water disappear in northern WY and southern MT from my own experience. Jackson Lake (Tetons) has had tremendous reduction, in spite of torrential rains last spring in the area I mentioned. (They have been unable to keep the marina open for 2 summers now.) Canyon Ferry, which is a component of the Missouri River is drastically low and it happened so fast last summer from July to October. There has been more snow and rain this winter, so we are anxiously awaiting to see the results of snow melt. Above the dam in Canyon Ferry, the reservoir is frozen, so hard to anticipate at this point.
We are looking forward to seeing how Jackson Lake (part of the Snake River in WY-also very low) has fared, but unlikely that we can get there before Labor Day.
