The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria exceeded 11,000.
The other thing I noted, in the aftermath, the only female I saw on the street was a little girl... and, noone seemed to be with her or paying attention to her.
The only people moving about were men... the death toll is terrible, and I do have to wonder what percent were women.
