Oct 1962. Houston. 5 yrs old. I noticed my parents were stockpiling food in the garage. Hurricane season they told me. Don't think one hit. Carla had but... In 1970 I read about the Cuban missile crisis. I asked my parents about that. That, they told me, was why the garage had so much in it. I was 13 but started paying attention. Now...we got grown ass adults that can't see past their phone and can't ask questions. I think we got a way to go before we get some satisfaction.
