Just as I read that I got in some intell that if they fake one for malevolent purposes, the benevolents will swoop in to do some "business" at the same time so their activity can be later explained away with the hoax.

They like to act with plausible deniability so as to not blow out our nervous systems. Pedowood worked to make sure we deem all ETS as scary predators with movies like Predator, Independence Day, Alien, Invasion, Mars Attacks, War of the Worlds remake etc. after the earlier timeline gave us such movies as -

E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the TV series My Favorite Martian and Alien Nation. They were bleed-overs from brighter timelines as they held strong in the psyche; people WANT to believe in benevolent and friendly ETs. They prefer to be called star people. btw

The nature of "their business" is typically the maintenance of their observation platforms, stargates, ley lines etc. as the DS dracs set blocks and traps in them.
