If you actually have planted seeds in prior years, you more than likely know one of the first things suggested is to soak the seeds prior to planting. I don't know if this will completely solve the problem since in all honesty I did NOT read the entire thread, but I believe that is a part of the reasoning for soaking the seeds. Non GMO, open pollinated heirloom seeds should not have this contamination problem. Plenty of good, quality seed vendors open for business.
