This so reminded me of my Daddy (he passed away suddenly in May 2021)! One of the earliest and most persistent things he taught his children was that THINGS can be liked, but PEOPLE can be loved. His words stick with me to this day and I find myself checking my words. ❤ I have an old reel-to-reel tape from when I was 2 yrs old. We were visiting a family farm in Pennsylvania. They grew the best sweet corn ever! Even as a toddler I had eaten multiple small ears. haha Funny how you can remember the smallest things! Anyhow, on that tape, I clearly said, "I like corn! I like fresh corn! (pause) I LOVE my Daddy!" Seems his lesson soaked in early. 👍😉💕
