Street lights overhead would go out as i passed...only one light, but very often. Btw...my son was a school band trumpeteer for six years thru out jr high and high school. With all the focus on trumpets and trumpeteers lately ive been pleasantly reminded of this. The hour he was born the wind whipped up and swooshed around so much the building swayed...and the nurse walked away from his mom, in labor, to the window...she turned around and looked at me, i said: its time, shes ready. They ushered her out and i changed into the hospital garb to be with her. Everyone noticed the wind had calmed and it was a beautiful day after he was born. To this day we all remember how for just an hour the wind swept around the building and trees. Only Nick's mom, my mom and the nurse heard me say: Its time! He was always a smiling happy baby and awoke that way all the time. He is now an amazing man with a heart of pure gold!
As for me...i never wanted to deal with pregnancy ever again!
