okay, cool. I saw a headline about his birthday today and thought he already died. Glad I'm not the only one lol.. and for the record, it was always BerenSTEIN Bears!!! at least it was in the 80s and 90s when I read them as a child. I had high grades in spelling, it was my jam. The question then was always whether it was pronounced Beren-stine or -steen due to the EI in STEIN.. it was NEVER stain!! (this one of all the mandela effects shook me) I believe dimensions were shifted, there's no other reasonable explanation imo.
