why is it that gen X has the mostnawake people? cuz we were left alone more as kids and had to think for ourselves?

Being awake requires time/maturity, and in this particular case (Q) a lil tech savvy and social media use. Boomers and up lack tech savvy in comparison, Millenials and Zoomers might be still too young plus were raised under orders of magnitude more indoctrination than older generations

I can tell you as a kid raised in Toronto in an area called Little Yugoslavia, I was a latch key kid, had Biĺly Van babysitting me via the tv (Hilarious House of Frightenstein), and was considered a wandering child who was pretty much never where my parents thought I was.
I agree with you, Gen X'rs were fending for themselves the most.
