The man was set to testify tomorrow before the House Financial Services Committee, and now has *suddenly* been apprehended by police in the Bahamas at the request of the US Gov's SDNY office.
This means that he will be held in the Bahamas until a formal extradition request is made to transfer, and will eliminate his testimony before the GOP from taking place.
This should be illegal, and is in fact illegal to infringe upon a witness in a crime or suspect in a crime from appearing before congress by abuse of law.
