Nothing to see here... ππ₯
So did they dismiss the whole case and nothing is happening?
Petitioners filed for Cert. with US Supreme Court. Fewer than 1% of cert. petitions are granted. Needs 4 justices. If cert. is granted, US Supreme Court sets out a briefing schedule. Supreme Court of the United States Docket No. is 22-380 filed October 20, 2022 with Clerk of the Court.
so they didnt grant it and nothing is happening? from what the petetion reads and the ruling already announced says they turn it down. what you posted just says they filed it in Oct. but didnt they just have the court case Monday? What happened with the court case?
Also@nightvision as we know D.C. is a ghost town, no one is doing in-person conferences or anything else this will be interesting to track...plenty more theatre ahead.
Hello Night Hawk@nightvision : It's at a procedural phase now with the U.S. Supreme Court. See my snapshots here that I did for you. We can talk more later, I have to run to an appointment.
Note the not-so coincidental date that the Justices will in their (weekly private conferences) decide whether or not to grant "CERT" - January 06, 2023. Four justices have to agree to allow this to become "a Supreme Court" case.
Only a petition to be heard has been filed by the Petitioner: that means; and the Govt. has said it won't file a reply (not unusual because less than 1% of petitions to US Supreme Court are granted cert. The Court will review the Petition and review record of lower court and discuss the case privately in their "J6" "conference" - "do we want to hear this case or don't we?" I do not see any filings beyond the October 2022 Petition for Cert......
