He is a voice of reason. In the same interview which I can't find Don Lemon asks him about being African American and Mr Freeman replies I am not an African American. I am a Black American. I was not born in Africa, I do not live in Africa, nor do I have any relatives there. Therefore I am a Black American. Why we are labeling everyone that is black an African American is beyond me.
