u recommend hardware wallets to have custody right?
u don't leave your coins in the exchanges custody correct?

mostly just uphold then transfer it to a wallet - Ledger Nano X which you should buy directly from their site.
And you're right, never leave it on an exchange.
You can also use the app - XUMM wallet as well for XRP.
