Legit stage actors are taught that if they smile, they WILL feel better, and if they scorn or frown, they WILL soon feel in that downcast place. Another trick of the stage, proven with trained actors, that the rest of us can instantly (and technically) turn that sunny side UP!
Or make tears to get something out of your eye - very useful. Responsive and controllable emoting has its practical sides once one can empathetically snap oneself in or out like a racecar driver maneuvers the flow lane.
