I've not had any alerts either. I turned off my updates on my iPhone but somehow they still updated it the next morning after I turned off the updates. I ask my best friend if she also had an update bur she did not. I double-checked my phone to make sure it was off. I don't think we have any control whatsoever anymore... maybe we never really have...🤬
