If you can’t avoid the hospital, make sure there is someone with you 24/7.
I now know of 2 people who were left alone without monitoring equipment after surgery and coded. They have/had no idea how long they were without oxygen, resuscitated and put on vents. One is dead, the other will probably be called today.

The first one? I knew when I saw the drs. reaction to her having family. She had cancer, was HIV+ along with other ailments. I’m sure he thought they were doing this poor woman a favor and saving the system money in the long run. What he didn’t know? She had 4 years clean and just the year before had reconnected with her children after 20 years.
These people are sick.
