It also illustrates why it's necessary to swap out your lead dogs once in a while & give them a rest. When you see a dog riding in the sled, you know that's what's happening.
Same with horses - breaking trail really takes it out of you!
Some of us have been breaking trail for 40 years now, with no relief.
