I live in Fort Myers/Cape Coral/Pine Island Cayo Costa is my playground.
Ground Zero for Ian and Charley.
And I luckily happened to be in Austin this week.
The video I saw of Reed Timmer on Pine Island and in Cape today showed far less damage than Hurricane Charley.
That are has the highest construction standards in America.
It will be good to see which structures withstood the storm.
We will what standards worked as expected and which ones didn't.
Like life itself, it's a continual improvement process.
