Thats not entirely true. sometimes the drummer drops out. Sometimes the drums dont come in right away. Mostly i speak about worship music, and sometimes the drummer is not used.

Not really. Heart attack happens => body stops. Music has dynamics sometimes where the drummer is silent, but the music continues. Sometimes there is no drummer, but the music is played anyway. Ive played bass w/o a drummer before. its more difficult, but it can and has been done.
