But
If two mirrors are facing each other, the light would bounce off the mirrors’ surfaces repeatedly and form a new image with each reflection. The reflection from one mirror will be reflected by the other mirror back to the first mirror, and then back again to the second mirror. This will give the impression of an infinite series of the same image being reflected over and over again.

Betelgeuze's brightness has varied cyclically, but could become so bright as to make night a day. He said something like that. That means we would stop seeing the rest of the stars too. What would there be on Earth to brighten up so that a reflection could become so bright? If stars were reflections of something else. We would have to be living on the inside of a hollow Earth.
