Don’t think me weak because I cry.

I cry when I feel safe. I cry so I can be strong when those who need to talk about the abuse can do so without my crying.

If they feel like we are upset, or can’t handle their pain, they won’t share. If they can’t share, they can’t heal creating a second silence.

We’ve come too far to fall back into silence.

Cry for the injured and abused so we can gain strength to help carry their burden.
