Yes, look for first copy rights only. After that, the publishers have the right to change certain things if they want to.
Also, purchase books from second hand book stores...look for those that are dated before WWII.

i used to treasure my books, until as a young adult screwup, moving constantly, they whittled down to nothing. now, as a mom, homeschool teacher & human being i am recreating a base of knowledge-the older the book the better.

Yesterday I bought 8 old books about history, philosophy and esoteric knowledge. One of my favorites was first published during the First World War and is a collection of patriotic poems. Inside, I found a 1941 postage stamp with Hitler. 😎

Indeed and even look for them at garage or estate sales- old Britannica Encyclopedias especially.
