With so much mention of "Corn Watch" and "Popcorn" I decided to do a little research just yesterday...🍿🌽

It's the starch ring, and a small amount of water in the kernel mixed with a powerful combo of heat and STEAM that makes it pop and there's some Native American folklore too.👀
