COURT RULING: 24% Marijuana Tax Stands in Michigan
A Michigan Court of Claims judge has rejected an attempt to block the state’s new 24% wholesale marijuana tax, allowing it to take effect as planned.
Judge Sima Patel denied a request from cannabis industry groups seeking to stop the tax, ruling they did not show they were likely to win their case or face irreparable harm. The tax is part of a statewide road-funding law.
