Have had so much energy the last 3 days, have been working on projects nonstop, cleaning, organizing, checking off things that have been on my list for a long time. I'm a whirlwind! 🤣

Hubby: I'm just gonna go out to shop for a while, have a beer & stay out of your way. 🤣

Taught myself something new today, made sourdough gnochetti sardi and enjoyed a little creative kitchen fun. 😊

Created a new sourdough bread recipe today, it turned out pretty good and hubby gave it a thumbs up.👍🏼😊 Packed with a mix of yummy organic stuff like sprouted sunflower seeds, dried apricots, cherries, raisins and mango.

Doing a little more planting today...nectarine trees, blackberries, blueberries, asparagus, onions, grapes and another fig tree.

Always happiest working outside in the sunshine, growing my garden.

Has been a lovely couple of days, finally feeling better too. Hubby and I played in the snow in Tahoe yesterday, enjoyed the mountains, trees, scenery, sunshine and fresh air! 😊 Today we drove along the eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas on 395.

Everyone went out of town for Christmas, so rather than staying home alone, hubby and I decided to pack up the truck and head to CA to see our son. We don't get to see him often, there was no better gift than being able to give him huge hugs today!

More kitchen creating today...grilled sourdough flatbread and sun dried tomato and olive hummus. Hubby is happy. 🥰

Next up...headed to the garden to harvest some basil so I can make a batch of pesto. Might attempt homemade sourdough pasta if there's enough time.

Harvested goodies from the garden to make a batch of pickled peppers, baked a loaf of sourdough lemon blueberry bread & made sourdough flat bread dough for tomorrow to go with the lemon garlic caper hummus I'm making.

On the road again, headed back to AZ after a visit to see mom in NV. Wanted to make sure she was stocked up and ready for this week. Even got in an awesome hike in Red Rock Canyon. Have driven over 5,000 miles in the last month, looking forward to being home for a while!😊🙏🏼

A wild one...

Visiting my mom in Henderson, NV for a few days to make sure she is prepared for next week. She lives just down the street from where the Trump rally was. :)

Went to breakfast w/her this morning and these numbers were on the wall. Read them as 11.3 on 11.5. 👀

Back from a 3 week, 15 state, 4,500 mile road trip with mom, the final trip she never got to take with dad before he died. It was their dream to see all 50 states. I wanted to make sure she got that ✅. We saw so much beauty, this country is amazing. Feeling so blessed.🙏🏼💗🙂

Made it H💗ME safe last night. Was so nice sleeping in my own bed.

ROAD TRIP DAY 18:
Was up at 4am and on the road, OKC in the rear view mirror. Thankful we made it safely to Albuquerque, saw a horrible wreck going the opposite direction on the on the I-40 East thru Texas. Learned later it was a fatality. 😢

One more day, H💗ME tomorrow! 🙏🏼

More Northern Lights from the shore of Lake Superior last night...so beautiful. 💗

It was a bucket list thing for me, have always wanted to see them. Being able to unexpectedly witness this last night was such a blessing. 🙏🏼

Made it to Michigan w/mom today, she checked off the last state and has seen all 50 now! Felt dad with us all day. Now sitting in silence along the shore of Lake Superior just in awe, watching the Northern Lights. Just amazing, like he's reaching out to me from Heaven. 🙏🏼💕

Back in the Southwest, realm of giant tree stumps. We've been on the road for 23 days, thru 12 states, ridden our bikes 455 miles across Iowa camping along the way & have seen so much of this beautiful country. Thankful but looking forward to being H🧡ME...5 hours to go! 😊

We just rolled thru Castle Rock, on the Ronald Reagan Hwy, almost to Colorado Springs. We hit 13 states this road trip, now we're making our way back to Arizona. Has been a long and adventure filled 3 weeks, but ready to be back H💗ME!

Today was my birthday 🎉 and day 4 of our bike ride across Iowa. Hubby & I rode 82 miles brnging our total to 254 miles, with 235 miles to go. Saw the most beautiful sunrise with big rays shining thru the clouds, felt like my daddy was wishing me happy birthday from Heaven. :)

Hubby & I were in Nashville today celebrating our 34th anniversary. It was so hot, we had walked 7 miles & were looking for A/C. We went in Rippy's, sat at the bar & the band started to play "Forever & Ever Amen" by Randy Travis....our wedding song! CHILLS! What are the odds?!

Took a sunrise walk this morning in the small Tennessee town we're staying in and this "Sign" jumped out. 🤣

We enjoyed our 2 day stop in the northwest corner of the state. Coming from Arizona, the green hills, trees and cooler temps were a welcome change. Friendly people too. We did a lot of mountain biking and the trails there were a lot of fun.
