I've had people tell me in the past that I shouldn't read the Bible by myself and that I need a pastor to interpret it for me.
I have a strong opinion on this and many things to say in reaction to it. So where to begin?
Well for starters I'm a very literate person.
Second, what's the difference if I read it and somebody else calledca pastor reads it?
I'll tell you what that difference is. He's been told what to think and I'm indulging in it without as much bias as him. His education could easily be categorized as indoctrination as what he's told has been made to fit inside church [man-made/ institutional] doctrine, and I'm just reading it as is without that very thick, smokey, smudgey filter.
I can read every peice of literature (cathecisms, dispensations, theosophical hoo hah) that he does because I have eyes. And I can read.
But if I reject the worldly collective consensus, it doesn't mean I'm wrong. Maybe he is.

I came into 2020 with PTSD on top of PTSD. It hasn’t been easy by any stretch of the imagination. The topics the Great Awakening has ripped the veils from & thrust into the light of day has excavated traumas I had long buried, simply to survive. There have been times that I hadn’t felt this raw, vulnerable & scarred for decades.

The flip side of that, I haven’t felt this optimistic & full of Faith…EVER!
