There is a box at the bottom left corner (its made up of nine little boxes)- click on that and once that area pops up you should be able to click on your area. it will let you see who is following you/ who you are following. You will get the hang of it in no time. To follow someone, go over their name (above their post) click on it then click on follow ☺️
It does get easier

I follow the ones to the right first...WHO TO FOLLOW, then show more to follow those.
I hit explore and hover my curser over their names to open a small window for them and hit follow. So hovering is the easy way. Explore will give you newly posted and you can hover.
If you click PEOPLE on Explore, it gives more.
If you click on their name, or their Avatar, it will open their page.
