That would make the most sense to me. Light reflecting off of the firmament.
Could be wrong on the projector comparison, but if that were true and that Light is being projected Up, then the direction from where the source of the Light is generating and being projected from becomes an interest in my mind.

Little bit of both I guess.
Fallen Angels come from the Spiritual realm, sent by The Creator to watch over us.
While in the physical realm, they found women too irresistible and physically mated with them which gave birth to giants.
Probably look like "The Greys", but that's just speculation.
