The declaration came after out-of-town protesters threatened to storm Village Hall and shut down Monday’s board meeting. The meeting was moved online following law enforcement warnings of potential violence linked to Friday’s unrest outside the federal immigration processing center in Broadview

The FBI is investigating multiple threats, including a September 4 bomb threat and an October 13 death threat against the mayor

On Friday, protesters attempted to force their way into Village Hall and 21 people were arrested during clashes near the ICE facility. Four officers two from Broadview PD, one Illinois State trooper, and one Cook County sheriff’s deputy were injured
