"Rama Sawaf Duwaji was born on June 30, 1997, in Houston, Texas. Both of her parents are Syrian Muslims from Damascus; her father is a software developer and her mother is a doctor. The family moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, when she was nine years old, and she spent the remainder of her childhood living among the Arab states of the Persian Gulf."
