While I have not checked Hemp or bamboo as building materials, (bamboo flooring uses a laminating process) "Chemical Processing: Bamboo is not naturally a soft fabric like cotton. To transform it into a fabric, it undergoes a complex chemical process called viscose or rayon production. This process involves the use of hazardous chemicals such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH), carbon disulfide (CS2), and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) (Source: "Bamboo Textiles: M. A. Khan & M. A. Khan, 2018).
Carbon Disulfide (CS2): One of the most concerning chemicals in this process is carbon disulfide. CS2 is a highly volatile, flammable, and toxic chemical. It can cause severe health issues, including neurological symptoms, cardiovascular problems, and reproductive toxicity. Moreover, it is a known carcinogen (Source: Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, 2020)."
Hempcrete does not work in all climates for building material. There is a cement made from Oyster shells, , what harm might it do sea lif

Well, I'll be very happy to go with the Hemp, Bamboo, Mushroom Option, given a choice.
I already have bamboo socks (ethically sourced), they felt like my feet were being lovingly hugged from the first time I put them on. And they seem to last for ever, while getting even softer and more comfortable as wear and washing continues.
