An idea to consider is switch from Halloween to a Fall Festival celebration. This can include games, non evil costumes, only things like dressing up as a cowboy, spaceman, police officer, military person, sports person, princess, furry animal, dancer, etc. Instead of trick or treating each child gets a surprise gift bag with a fall theme containing candy, and small surprises. 😉

that is an awesome idea but dont think this year it would fly. next year starting early in what the date means etc migt spark a response. a group party like some smaller towns do now is best. esp with the threat of fentanyl in candy. talk about fear porn.. and it will happen cause people go to outside their own areas t o unknown areas.. how would you even know who planted it..
