The Eastern Canadian Cricket farm was built by Aspire Foods, for the tune of about $90 million; $8.5 million was provided by federal grants i.e. taxes from working men and women. And it has been a huge failure.

“Not enough people are eating Ze Bugs,” Yakiwchuk writes. “Which has turned out to shutter 2/3rds of the staffing in the workforce in London, Ontario, at the Aspire Cricket Farm.”
